What do you think? It's at least another 7 days before I can wax and buff the top. I'm playing with the idea of staining the chairs in a similar jarrah-like tone.

The underside is done, flip, mask, begin with the outer most colour of the mandala table top. The centre of the table will hold a hand painted mandala design, showing off all its imperfections.

Now comes the tricky part of drawing on the regular octagon, masking and cutting. I think I sweated bullets in the cutting phase, but go a very nice result. Now to think about what sort of design to put on the table top (I did think veneer inlay, but I think I need lots of practice before then).

It's coming along. Some of the cuts and chips are too deep to sand out, but they add character (🤣). Needs to dry out and then get some food safe oil into it.

This is gaslighting. The bridge was closed by the police as part of their crowd management of the march. The marchers did not block the bridge, in the same way children in Gaza do not run in front of bullets to get a sympathy headline.

I'm always in awe of the cucina povera of the Mediterranean. With 4 ingredients (tomatoes, capers, mint, small clove of garlic), voila, salsa con caperi e mente. It comes from the SE of Sicily. The best pasta match is something short (e.g. casarecce). Wine is never optional. 10/10 min prep/cooking.
