My only real praise for the event is the ease of getting Eternatus. You can pretty easily do 4 battles for free each day (assuming you live in a busy area) and get to tier 60 no problem

Happened to me with LoTR, got one deck, but you can always call for a refund and if you insist they’ll generally let you keep it instead of returning it

I think the only raids that were that difficulty were Walking Wake and Iron Leaves. Most 7* raids have been pretty reliably solo-able
