Oh man, so sorry to hear this. My condolences. I was lucky enough to meet David a few times over the years at various LS events. He was a true mensch.

That’s because there’s no chance it’ll happen. FL D1 is the reddest district in Florida. It’s simply not even close to being competitive. You’d have to register at least 150,000 left leaning voters to stand a chance. Are there even that many unregistered voters in the district? I wish I was wrong. 🫤

I was growing up on the east coast at the time and I remember my dad putting out a container of water to catch any ambient ash that floated over, which it very much did. 3000 miles away, yet here we were seeing the ash first hand.
