The standard offers are for 2026 entry (ie for courses that start in September 2026) The historical entry grades are for 2022-2024. Sorry, not much space to be clear in a short post 😅

Why are you quote posting a reply to me? That's very odd behaviour. Do you do this in normal conversations, shouting your reply to everyone in the vicinity?

I just find him really cringe 😅 I guess I like my politicians a bit more serious and policy focused.

It's a moot point, anyway, as I usually vote Labour because my local constituency MP is really good for the area, regardless of the absolute sh*tshow going on nationally!

I'd actually be more likely to vote for Nick Clegg than Ed Davey. I don't remember any of the Lib Dems' policies from the last election, but I do remember every time I scrolled down my news feed seeing images of Davey paragliding or windsurfing or whatever, with an inane grin on his face.

Eww. "Be resilient" = "Come into work and infect other people", or "Put your work before your responsibility to yourself and your own wellness" 🙄

"One never expects to be taken ill, so we declined".
That's the literal point of travel insurance... 🤦‍♀️

...and @mrsouthernmaths.bsky.social and think about using department time to work on those things. Lots of people on here will be able to point you in the right direction if you have specific areas you want to focus on 😊

I can't think of any blogs etc off the top of my head, but as a key stage 5 lead I would think about what kind of things you want to focus on (eg CPD for your team) - there is a lot of good stuff by MEI/AMSP/Casio, or the excellent book on A Level Maths pedagogy by @susanwhitehouse.bsky.social ...

It's a very new function (I only recently became aware of it) - I think it's a game changer, as previously students had to play the guessing game of whether a university actually required the published grades, or whether they were inflated to make them look more prestigious.

This will hopefully give students an indication of which universities are more or less flexible on their entry criteria, to help them make their choices. Subjects are in tabs along the bottom (eg Maths, Physics, Comp Sci, etc) The data is for 2026 entry. wykecollege-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/g/person...

It's a very worthy cause! 😊

I wish I could get to projectiles and moments at A Level before Physics do. Unfortunately they're a year 2 topic for us, but a year 1 topic for them 🙄
November 7, 2025 at 5:43 PM
Thanks, anyway. I wish JCQ realised that their new rules are making things harder for students (and teachers) 🙄
Maybe exam boards could have a topic list that they themselves release immediately after the exam, as it's no longer a secret if students have seen the paper.

Even just getting there. Our students come to us from all over on college buses (from across several counties) so having to make their way to a test centre is a big hassle if they can't get a lift. It was so much easier when they just sat it in college.

I hate that the admissions tests are now all taking place at external test centres
November 6, 2025 at 6:43 PM
That's brilliant 😅
November 6, 2025 at 7:23 AM
Those webinars are some of the best training I've ever done
November 5, 2025 at 6:35 PM
Dammit. That's really going to screw up plans for the Saturday revision session planned between papers 2 and 3 😢
November 5, 2025 at 4:00 PM
Hi, unfortunately not, sorry. We do Edexcel (which I'm also trying to get a copy of the paper for!)
