Very pleased to have had the opportunity to make a small contribution to increasing the pressure on invasive species on New Island.

I am keenly following the outcomes of the current breeding season for White-Chinned Petrel. A range of threats impacting on this very small population of seabirds.

Long-nosed Potoroo (Potorous tridactylus) representing the the broad behavioural change observed in this species that occurred following application of solid pressure on feral cats 2021-22.

Tragic outcome for this Pied Oystercatcher.
Tagged as an adult bird in June 1991.
Killed by a feral cat in Sept 2024.
