enjoyer of sangheili and other aliens, preferably chunky ones
extremely amateur artist, might share something sometime, but it is not likely
[he/him]
i mean that freedom to do whatever is one of the main concepts DnD & ttrpgs function off of, so interactivity like that definitely have been done in games before, just with human improv instead of AI.
though, translating that to video games has been notoriously difficult/maybe impossible in the past

mona lisa from halo: evolutions my beloved

because, if sangheili world-building was actually any good, everybody on earth would simply die of cringe from how much more awesome and also more cool elites would be in every single way over us instead of just in their looks (also voices and overall aesthetics)
November 26, 2025 at 3:54 AM
no but for real if you're looking for recommendations my pick would probably be something from the Ender's Game movie
because the evil humans learn theyre actually the bad guys for killing the aliens which is kewl

be very very evil and force them to watch the halo tv show >=] (the master cheeks secks scene to be extra mean of course)

i just like that sangheili characters exist really, so i like them all
if i had to pick a favorite, i think probably seren or noti cuz i like to know stuff about characters lol
i do like their personalities they all feel like different people, not just kinda the same personality with different looks

i like the filters. they're fun. but using cropped images might be better for some anticipation since we can't see the whole image.
either way of doing the teasers would be good, though, and you should just make it what you think is better

ooooh what a handsome lad =D awesome work!
is it just a coincidence and his markings originally pink, or did he change them to be similar to hanar colors as part of how he "reconnected with himself"?
September 26, 2025 at 7:10 PM
oh yeah i didnt even think about the new tag blocking
though on pc the bright yellow squares with + signs attached to tags are there the moment you open a submission, so it is a bit intuitive and not hard to miss
ngl, thinking about it, FA is one of the better sites i know for user self-moderation
September 6, 2025 at 10:22 PM
eh ive never really seen a reason why some artists on fa split themselves like that
the folder system is good for separating that stuff if someone is just looking at your gallery
and users can always just not interact with and even remove the submissions we dont want to see from our user page anyway

c. feels like the best to greet someone with, but since it's the demon, b. is probably the better choice

horses' hooves are actually their toes that have merged with evolution. on reach/inf elites, their foot models have definitive toes or claws that are separate from the rest of the foot
tho, i will say that those models resemble long versions of deer hooves, imo, so digitigrade still isn't impossible
June 21, 2025 at 12:34 AM
i think that they have 2 'heels', but i always just end up calling them digitigrade because its simpler and im not sure what to accurately call having 2 heels
imo, even in ce and 2, elites look like they have 2 toes/somewhat low poly bumps separate from the rest of their foot on the ground

I will probably DM you on FA and we can exchange discord info there, just because I also have a large need for accuracy/realism, and will likely want to ask you, as the Sangheili Expert, questions, if you don't mind.
I know myself well enough to know that I'll probably miss things on Halopedia, etc.

Honestly, it might never get started to begin with, and I might simply just drop it halfway through due to a lack of drive.
But if Urs, Fied, and Joori align and I do end up making something of substance, how should I try to message you to pass it along for a Professional Sangheili Expert review?
June 14, 2025 at 4:38 AM
I am almost nervous to sort by Sangheili sometimes on FA due to the percentage of smut with that poor anatomy that would show up on my screen
Honestly, I've been feeling the urge to write my own fanfiction just because of the lack of good Sangheili stuff. Though I dread how poorly it would turn out
June 14, 2025 at 2:44 AM
Though, I guess that this is what fanfiction is for, since 343 can't seem to want to make anything like this.
I'm still grateful for your recommendation of "Don't Go Where I Can't Find You" a while back.
June 14, 2025 at 1:52 AM
I think that I might just have more tolerance for the combat-centered Sangheili writing right now simply because I haven't been worn down by work after work of nothing about the Sangheili outside of the combat lifestyle.
I should set a reminder in a few years and see how sick I am of all of that lol
June 14, 2025 at 1:42 AM
I completely agree with you about the lack of Sangheili depth and culture, and I feel that we definitely need to see more Sangheili outside of combat and diplomatic situations and more of civilian life. I absolutely eat up that kind of writing.
June 14, 2025 at 1:35 AM
basically, your hope for good Sangheili treatment has been shattered and dragged through the mud by 343 over and over again while I still cling to mine lol
June 14, 2025 at 12:45 AM
I think it might just be that I myself am a "newer" Sangheili enjoyer (relatively speaking, 5 years cannot really be called new anymore) so I did not have to endure most of the 343i nightmare years, so it's likely that I am a bit less cynical than you have become with their treatment over the years
June 14, 2025 at 12:44 AM
While your take is also how I read it originally, I can see how the author's exact wording can be easily taken in either direction.
Making it clearer with "their version of laughter" or something like that would have been better to avoid this confusion in my opinion (though I am no sci-fi writer)
June 14, 2025 at 12:25 AM
in "Anvil Accord", too, there are Sangheili soldiers and workers that repeatedly engage in banter with humans that's full of very "human" sarcasm and jokes,

then in the newest story, one of those same Sangheili, Ovi 'Taar, is making only (imo) low quality jokes like he no longer understands humor.
June 13, 2025 at 4:50 PM
I would love that, but what dissuades me from it is that the writers have not offered that different framework anywhere.
With Tul, it was written that there wasn't a Sangheili word that "sarcasm" could be translated to, so it makes me doubt that it was intended for sarcasm to exist to Sangheili.
