I’ve been reading a long time now and the number of authors who delivered their series is far far more than a handful of famous cases. Also you’re under no obligation to buy the rest of a series if you don’t enjoy it so it will balance out
I know others have said this, but if you love a series, BUY THE BOOKS AS THEY COME OUT. You can go on a reading spree later, but for the love of god, buy the books now.
