Things you could be doing - going to Satchel's on 6th, sitting outside as the light wanes and a chill settles in the air, eating warm fig salad, fried stuffed summer squash blossoms, and rabbit confit. (I mean, you could eat inside, but what's the fun in that?)

Made Diana Henry's "i can never resist pumpkins" menu today. Here's the Tuscan grape bread & Italian cheeses. It was delightful.

This salsiccia pizza, Caesar salad, and fig sour from Osteria Marco were exactly what we needed after a Friday night volunteer shift at the Great American Beer Festival.

Had a great evening at Molotv Kitschen. Sadly the lighting was too dim for good food photos, but this cocktail came with its own flame.

Technically not located in Denver, but the bizarre donut hole that is Glendale. Bull & Bush is a lived-in British-styled pub that leans on classic comforts. I think it would be especially cozy with some light snow.

Go to Jax. Get a shrimp and lobster roll. Drink a fabulous martini there. Cling to whatever is left of summer.

Fox and The Hen is rightfully packed during brunch, but the bar has open seating. We got lucky and didn't have to wait at all.

The only place harder to get into than Casa Bonita may be Alma Fonda Fina, which is why we were there at 4:45 on a Tuesday. The wait was worth it. It was fantastic. The whipped fennel ricotta brought a tear to my eye. Does anyone else do a little happy dance when they eat something delicious?
