Elements reminiscent of Little Red Riding Hood and other fairytales stand out as well.
I didn’t know what was happening half the time, and some things are never explained. But I think that is part of the charm and journey through this novel.

My first thoughts were, “ok what is this, College Mean girls?” But I quickly found that there was more to the book and story than that. I was reminded of The Yellow Wall Paper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, and watching a slow and then sudden descent into madness.
