Critical listening sessions this week to sort out what tracks are to be included in the 2026 Textuur5 suite. It's starting to become a little less chaotic. This is the first work that I designed to be presented in binaural/stereo, Dolby Atmos and ambisonic environments.

Next Saturday I will give a talk (with lots of music) about Pierre Henry and how this electronic music giant influenced my own artistic path.

Am again working (restoring, remastering) on the music of a female composer whose work will be released but of whom I had never heard. I am an instant fan of her work! How much beautiful electronic music is still 'out there', unknown to more than a few people?

As a first post on Substack series called 'mastering notes' I write about the mastering process for Gagi Petrovic's "Music For Dance And Theatre" https://buff.ly/40XuG9L The series will continue with regular written reflections on mastering and restoration projects.

Quite educational stuff. But rigorous, very rigorous. And an interesting inside report about the very early start of German electronic music.

Metaphon, the excellent and eccentric Belgian label, just released another gem from the past. It's always a pleasant surprise when I get this material. Carefully restored and #masteredatearlabs https://buff.ly/3EvGLLM

Peter Todd and Nic Collins talk about and later recreate the Stuart Marshall performance at Ayrton Basement in 1976. This was only the fourth time it was ever performed. https://buff.ly/3EskYEG Thank you #hetconcreet for organizing!

Since I left Metaverse as my main channel I distribute my messages over multiple platforms. Buffer helps me with that! Now I can link with Bluesky, Mastodon, and perhaps sometimes Instagram. Plus, I can schedule my posts; it's been a while since I've done it like that. #SocialMediaManagement #Buffer

Back from a week at GRM. Learned about multichannel composition strategies, ambisonics, worked with a well-kept Synthi, touched the ARP2500 donated by Eliane Radigue, met interesting and interested people, got a look at the 'registre' with all GRM recordings dating back to 1949 (Schaeffer, Henry).
