💚 Lots of positive conversations with residents fed up of the Labour-led council and wanting genuine representation by councillors who would put their needs first.

😡 Businesses like this take advantage of vulnerable people, and it was good to see the strength of local opposition.

Our concerns are over: the Council's unacceptable management style; serious concerns about the sustainability of the service which impacts the quality of service provided to children and young people (CYP); failure to recognise and compensate us foradditional responsibilities; our unacceptable workload and staffing capacity. Ealing Green Party member, Andres, makes an appearance in many of our campaign photos. But when he's not campaigning for Green representation on the council he volunteers with West Ealing Green Spaces, clearing and cleaning neglected corners of our town. www.westealinggreenspaces.org
Andres tidying up the borders of what had become a dirty neglected part of West Ealing along busy Leeland Terrace until a couple of years ago when volunteers West Ealing Green Spaces cleaned it up and replanted. Ealing Council is planning to close down 13 children's centres in the borough. We need residents to speak out against this decision that will impact generations to come! Whe : May 14, 2025 3:45 PM onwards Where: Outside Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Rd, London W5 2HL Second side of poster, reads: What's Happening? Ealing Council is proposing to close or repurpose 13 of the borough's 25 children's centres, keeping only 12 open and delivering other services in community venues. While the council frames this as an effort to improve access and efficiency, the reality is a significant reduction in dedicated, localised support for families with young children. Children's centres are vital spaces for early years development, parent support, health services, and safeguarding vulnerable families. The proposed changes risk widening inequalities and threaten the human rights of Ealing residents by making it harder for families - especially those already struggling - to get the help they need. Why This Isn't Good Enough Families may become unable to access support. The most vulnerable families may fall through the cracks. The proposals are driven partly by budget pressures and not community needs.
