The impersonal nature of internet based communication has absolutely destroyed empathy levels. People’s pain is no longer real the way it once was.
Something happened over the last 30-40 years (maybe the internet, idk), but an alarming number of people in the us and abroad have been terminally infected by entitlement and a lack of any empathy. Taking pleasure in other’s misfortune is an illness
