1. People don’t know what words mean.
2. People don’t know how time works.
3. People will believe almost anything they see on social media without thinking.
4. People will vote based on beliefs that are wrong.

To me, free speech is an ability for someone to express their feelings/thoughts/beliefs without fear of retribution.
To them, it seems, free speech is an ability to cram their feelings/thoughts/beliefs in your face, whether you want to hear it or not.

We should acknowledge that MAGA and Trump’s victory were enabled by internet platforms whose business models reward fear and outrage. Dems had 8 yrs after FB enabled Trump and never had a floor vote in either chamber on a single bill that could possibly have addressed the harms. 🧵1/x
