NYC buildings have been getting steadily more energy efficient since the city passed its landmark building emissions law, LL97.

92% of covered buildings are now within the 2024 emissions limits (vs 88% last year).

Thankfully, two Tier 4 projects were awarded, with CHPE already under construction… ⚡️
⚠️ News: NYSERDA cancels contract with Clean Path NY, one of the two major transmission lines meant to bring clean energy to NYC.

The project has already been on the ropes for a while. Unlike CHPE, which will bring hydropower from Quebec, Clean Path depends on new renewables being built upstate/
