Disabling quote posts is pretty annoying. I wanted to engage with a scientific post in support of the research, but I can’t comment or quote? What are you doing on social media if you don’t want to interact with people in both directions? Just start a blog.

With the first draft of my manuscript complete, I feel ready to incorporate more elements of the B and C plots, as well as more emotional characterizations, in the second draft.
I’m tempted to ask for reader feedback already, but I know it would be so much more worth it if I wait for now.

60 years ago tonight, the san jose acid test, the grateful dead’s 1st gig as the grateful dead, in a house downtown after a rolling stones show. several hand drawn flyers showed up this year, as described in tom wolfe’s electric kool aid acid test, but with seemingly the wrong address on them. I stopped updating daily but I’ve still been writing! I’m over 42,000 as of this morning.
I’m going to give myself an extra day or two, because between both me and my partner being sick, our cat needing an emergency procedure, and a week of Thanksgiving meals, I missed about a week of writing. 1/2

Starting today, I will write 1,800 words every morning, to achieve a 50,000* word novel draft by the end of November. Each day after writing, I will repost this with my word count.

My cat had 2 X-rays (sedatedd) and an endoscopy under general anesthesia on Sun/Mon.
Now it’s Thursday and she’s still barely eating, and really tired. But otherwise seems fine. She’s been quiet, almost like she has a sore throat.
Is all of this normal/expected? When will she begin to eat again?

Last Waltz was played on Thanksgiving, which was the 25th that year. This year it’s the 27th so I’m splitting the difference and watching it today.
