Account started to share progress developing a Godot game, but I have too many ideas and no will power to make them happen. So now I write story concepts in general.
I still don't understand using AI for games. Aren't there already tools to speed up texture creation that are local? If the functionality is the same as the slop, why do I need art in someobody else's style for my game? I'd rather create a bad version of my own stuff.

Thanks! Losing my girlfriend created a huge contrast and void that I don't yet know how to fill. Aside from gamedev I'm learning to play guitar.

Just bought it after playing the demo. Demo impressions: game looks fantastic, like a PS3 game (which I like). Very minimalistic and atmospheric too. I like the calm approach to the level design and progress. After finishing Stray this felt natural. And it runs on my shitty laptop too.

I was very skeptical seeing "techno sci-fi" from him, quite unusual, but it makes me wonder how the game will play.

I saw this some weeks ago. I love 90s anime. English and Irish ads usually didn't have any shame back then. There's a beer ad where a man approaches a transgender woman, asks her technical stuff about football and leaves. Then he tells his friends 'it's a man'.

I've struggled finding purpose or even temp jobs. Maybe I will learn gamedev and will be able to make a living. The social situation after 30 is dire. I'm losing friends every year. I broke up with my girlfriend three weeks ago and I find myself alone depressed. It's hard making friends at this age.

I've been living in seaside Catalonia for 24 years. Everybody eventually moves to Barcelona, Madrid, France, etc. This town has mostly old people and gen X who have nothing in common with me. Everybody moves out by age 16-18 and stays in the capital.

The stuff they did with the Aliens on bluray is crazy. Just scan the fucking film into 4K and edit the blemishes, you stupid goons! They did this when releasing the Disney cartoons on DVD. There was a woman manually editing the film defects.

The thing is, these are not 'cinephile demands', this is the bare minimum they should give us and they fail.

I'm no "medium snob" but I still can't wrap my head around the fact there's Blu-ray versions that cut the top and bottom to fit into 16:9. I want to collect in the future but between AI upscaling and this, I feel safer with piracy.

I think adding existing real life 'triggers' to games is something not fully explored. If you had a realstic baby within the game, your reaction would be the same you have to real children.

I've been hearing a lot about 'experiences', like you experience being someone in the game rather than focus on a specific mechanic. I loved Stray because I was a little cat exploring a big world, not because I could jump or interact with hippie robots.

I don't see myself as old, but I feel mature for the first time in my life. Old is the era that begins long after your parents die, you exhaust all your professional potential, you're safe and loved, and you start to understand your grandparents.

I've had mental health problems since 20, so that decade dissapeared without achieving anything in romance, employment or friendships. Now at 37 after having a bad year, I feel that I'm smarter, kinder and more stoic. There's a point at which life resets and you're given the chance to improve.
