Rejoining Eramsus+ would be a vital step in retaining Britain’s standing in the world and upholding the world renown of our universities. This cultural exchange was essential for cooperation in an increasingly interconnected world. It's time to restore our membership.

Net zero is one of the many areas where commentators are out-of-touch with public opinion in Britain. There is still broad support for cutting carbon emissions - except from among Reform supporters, who are the outliers.
🧵/ How far does the public support net zero?

Support: 60%
Oppose: 25%

Net support by party
Green: +81
Lib Dem: +67
Lab: +64
Con: +11
Reform: -44

The irony is that Denmark is very much in the EU. So it seems that we are now trying to replicate a EU member state in terms of border control and immigration policy…

Labour’s reset with the EU may solve this boring, costly nightmare for British businesses.
But EU-phobic Farage and Tories say they would rip that agreement up again.
What an utterly childish response to the damage they’ve done.

Have to say.. very tired of this now. We all know Brexit is a shitshow. Nothing is better. No one is happier.
No one who really cared about our country or understood how anything actually worked would do this and then stand around scratching their heads at the mess.
Very amusing to watch Reform complain about all the things wrong with the UK - every one caused by Brexit - without actually mentioning Brexit, as if they happened by magic.

Democrat @raskin.house.gov excoriates Nigel Farage for banning journalists from Reform UK events:

"I'm asking you a direct question. Why do you ban journalists who oppose your views from coming to your events? Why did you tell local government not to do interviews with your local newspaper?"

Clear well evidenced research that the deterioration in online norms in the Musk era is distorting perceptions not just of the Internet but of politics and society. "Many of us are led to believe that society is far more polarized, angry, and deluded than it really is"
Only a small % of people engage in toxic activity online, but they’re responsible for a disproportionate share of hostile or misleading content on nearly every platform
