Kids's newest spooky obsession is Goosebumps. I think I have outdone myself with a sheet from ebay. She wants to invite R.L. Stein to her birthday party. 👻 If you have a lead on a Slappy dummy please let me know.

So impressed with how fast and easy it was to make this little dyneema pouch! Aside from ruining my good scissors with dyneema. Really should have googled that first. 🫠 @ripstopbytheroll.bsky.social thanks for the kit and so many awesome DIY vids.

What a nice break to see some good news.

As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. It is in such twilight that we all must be aware of change in the air—however slight—lest we become victims of the darkness.

Wish we could re-alive him and his seat.

Just when you think you’ve bought all the gear you need you discover another pile of highly useful gear you must have and a bank account that does not agree.

Very excited about my new map file from Value Village. Doesn’t solve my giant maps. But at least this is easy for the lil fellas.

Wait, this is a bit rude. Am I hallucinating or did All Trails make the build your own map feature harder to find and then roll it into a higher pricing model as a new feature?

Progress on my side project. Hyper-specific data points about ultralight companies like torso length on packs, and primary gender on the website. Get outside, support small businesses that support diverse humans, stick it to the man.

Couple more fab yard boulders from the weekend. Top marks for moss and bonus points for perfectly round tiny creature caves.

Getting creative! 😉 Hundreds of billboards are rising in 40 U.S. cities, bashing staff and service cuts at national parks under DOGE.

Ever notice yard boulders? Every hike I go on includes me day dreaming about transporting a boulder to my yard.

Sharing a fabulous yard boulder and some excellent moss.

Mommy’s special soft boy still unemployed. He did manage to forage some cheddar rockets that led to explosive diarrhea and a very fun Saturday morning, however.

Fun fact! As my gear is aging I'm only purchasing USA made replacements from ethical companies. While I'm trying not to shop at REI (ala union-busting) they have a filter for search including US-made which is pretty handy for finding larger outfits that are still made locally.

Got outside to feed the soul. Found some petrified wood and some good rock with crystal that I am determined to get better at identifying. Not pictured: Two neat bones, one old shed, one glass beer bottle, and half of one old blue glass insulator.

Please let me know what the rock is if you know!

Took a thrift break yesterday and found the William O Douglas book I've been hunting for! Now if I can just get manifestation to work on a larger scale...

As I've been spending more time in Figma.
Good god Adobe. Get with the future.
HOW are you so expensive when you're still out here crashing all the time and not autosaving?
Get yourself that Adobe confidence. 💅

I can't be the only one that values working from home mainly so I can dance at my desk without shame.

Fascinating!
I've noticed these breaks in formations at Ozette and never knew these were dragways for canoes. This is why I love love old musty books.

Did some revisions and cleanup on my chart.
Reached out to two companies on this list so far (including brand A) and they've been incredibly receptive and excited to see the information.

Can we be kind, constructive, and hold each other accountable?

Maybe!

Been tracking ads from ultra light gear companies and doing some digging.

5/10 are manufactured in USA
1/10 have a women in product development
4/5 show a woman interacting meaningfully with the product
6/10 only show men
10/10 are male founders
