you know what's really funny is that the guy he's talking about used to bully me in middle school so when i first met the guy i'd eventually marry he actually triggered my fight-or-flight
i was bullied relentlessly for looking kinda like this other dude who was popular. they would go "hey it's ___'s brother" and ___ would act super offended and then they'd all laugh at me IF I WAS LUCKY. they'd physically hurt me if i tried to get away from them. spent a lot of high school hiding
I really do not understand why we can’t be nuanced and admit that some Black people genuinely were rejected for being weird and that “weird” was often equivalent to “white.” 😵💫

my wife does seem to enjoy my fried chicken, ideally with cornbread and greens
