Railroad / Railways full size and scale models.
For a railroad, 3% is considered extremely steep. Grades are usually expressed in per thousands, for example 30‰.

I eventually worked out that I could restore power to the outlet by adding a jumper wire between two apparently unrelated wire nuts inside of a junction box. It’s all safely going through fuses and the gfci outlets work, but even as an EE, I still don’t know how my kitchen wiring works!

It sounds like you’ve been in my kitchen… One outlet suddenly died and I tried to figure out the wiring: it became quickly obvious that multiple layers of wiring were stacked on top of each other… Most wires were in conduits that disappeared into the slab foundation, which was suboptimal.

Plot twist, 007 has been the Doctor the whole time.

It must be a recent change: mine is from last year and has the Classic Font.

I bought two Saturns: a SW2 wagon which I traded in for an LW300. When the Aura was announced, I was ready to trade in again, but alas no wagon was ever made available, so I bought a Volvo instead.

I think my first one was a parallel port one. At some point I bought an internal one as well. When I moved from Europe to California, I backed up my data on a couple of Zip disks and lost everything!

Model number A014. But it looks like any regular track would just fit...

The limited tire availability was the reason I bought a Blix Paka instead. I didn't want to be locked into a single supplier for a wear item.

Back when I looked at their RadWagon, I could not find the tires it used anywhere but on their own website. I looked at it just now, and the current model uses 20 x 3.5" which is apparently available from multiple sources now. Maybe the size changed within the last 4 years or it has become standard.

Even here in California, where rust is not an issue, they are truly rare now.

You might also want to get some tires as they are not standard size (at least they were not on the models available a few years ago when I was shopping for an E-bike).

Well in that case I will continue my life time habit of not buying Aston Martins.

This is one of these locomotives that if you were to build an exact scale model of it, you'd be accused of making things up!

Take the train: it's only 24 hours...

Still in a forest, I guess...

And/or one unit should go to the Western Railway Museum.

Will one be kept by Market Street Railway?

The press release photos show it as having a BBB wheel arrangement. This is clearly a CC: when/why was it modified? I guess the CC is more common/well understood/easier to maintain (it might share trucks with diesel electric locomotives).

I didn't own an encyclopedia set because they were too expensive. I did own a boombox but I never carried it on my shoulder. I never ran it on battery, always plugged in. I did have a Walkman at some point, but I don't like listening to music via headphones. I did all the other things on that list.

Is that the company that makes all the fake text, you know like Loram ipsum dolor sit amet…

But a switch was stuck, so we had to go through the depot where they keep the historic trolleys. We ended up getting a tour of the depot. By popular demand, we switched to the open trolley for the remainder of the trip!

I rode this car as part of a special fund raising ride for the Market Street Railway. We basically ran over the entire network. We started off in car #1. At some point, we were supposed to take a rarely used track to go from line to another (cont)
