All the horrible things occurring right now wouldn’t be happening if Trump wasn’t in the Epstein Files and the Republican Party wasn’t doing everything in their power to change the subject.

man they really didn't give a shit about that guy. as soon as it was clear they couldn't use his death to launch a purge they started to treat it like a nothingburger
Q: My condolences on the loss of your friend Charlie Kirk. How are you holding up?

TRUMP: I think very good. And by the way, right there you see all the trucks. They just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House, which is something they've been trying to get for about 150 years.

There can’t be any gun restrictions because we have to protect against federal government tyranny, and if kids get shot we just have to live with it. Also the President can send troops to cities because the federal government can do whatever it wants. These two ideas are consistent and reasonable.

me last week:

“There was, and is, no external crisis facing the United States. But for reasons of both personality and political ambition, Trump needs a crisis to govern — or rather, to rule. And if the actual conditions of reality will not give him a state of exception, he’ll create one himself.”
FLAG: Trump says he might declare a national emergency to keep National Guard troops in D.C.

"If I have a national emergency, I can keep the troops there as long as I want."

it's so deranged how rich business owners have demanded for decades that they be called "job creators" despite the fact that every single person i know has experienced a rich guy buying out an existing business and firing everyone and usually completely bankrupting it before cashing out and leaving

Setting aside the deflection and tone-deafness, this is just not even true about football! Every football team at every level spends the morning after a game watching the game film and pointing out in excruciating detail every individual fuckup on every play in front of the whole team.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott uses a football analogy to explain why he isn't placing blame for flood response: "Every football team makes mistakes ... The way winners talk is not to point fingers."

For the people killed or
Correct. ICE detention is often deadly. But deaths in ICE detention are usually due to callous indifference (similar to deaths in jails and prisons), not deliberate attempts at extermination.

The gulf between some people dying because of medical indifference and gas chambers is immeasurably vast.
