I more or less want to transition back into food/drink/bud service when I return to PDX next spring, but if I stay in marketing, I really hope it's with a company that has some semblance of structure or strategy in that department (btw, looking for work there next May if ya hear anything).

It has been positively KILLING me lately to not be back working where I belong: a cluttered, musty used record store. An infinite number of worse things happening in this broken world, I know, but it would still be nice if that one tiny wrong could be righted.

Discussing my all-time life changer gigs w/a coworker. Fred Thomas solo has changed my life at least 30 times (probably will again tonight!) so I couldn't pick one, couldn't settle on a single Quintron show, and somehow forgot Battle Trance and Dilloway, but this feels accurate enough off the dome

After 28 years of playing a right-handed guitar upside down and hitting a wall years ago (I'm no Libba Cotten), today I bought a cheap lefty acoustic and committed to taking lessons for the first time ever. It isn't the Jad Fair approach, but I'm no longer in the business of making Jad Fair music.
