Sure, let’s accept the Liberal partisans’ premise that Carney caving on the DST (as Trump crowed about today) is some winning long-game strategy against Trump. But Trump’s not the winner here, it’s Amazon, Apple, Airbnb, Google, Meta and Uber. Carney has pleased the billionaires, that’s his job 😐

NASA just won an Emmy for our live broadcast of the total solar eclipse last year. We produced a documentary film about the James Webb Space Telescope that's out in theaters and on Netflix. We have podcasts, we write feature stories. People wear the agency logo on t-shirts. We're still getting cut.
You hear this a lot on the left but it isn't true. USAID did not "fail to tell its story to Americans," the right targeted the agency with lies and misinformation.

Ultimately this narrative turns conservative attacks into even more calls for the left to reform.

Planning a (somewhat) last minute trip for the end of August. We'll see if I actually pull this off.

Curious if anyone else has had issues with prescription renewals at @shoppersdrugmart.bsky.social - seems the pharmacist didn't renew everything I requested in the portal a few months ago, and now my refill dates are out of sync by a month with the pharmacist having no way to align them. 🙄 1/

My doctor prescribes 2 meds (because my insurance is stupid & doesn't cover the all in one).

Doctor asks me to submit renewals through the pharmacy, and this generally happens once a year (90 day supply, 3 refills).

I submitted my renewal in March through @shoppersdrugmart.bsky.social's website. 🧵

Sadly, the GIFs available in my work IM do not include any Canadian sledgehockey players/teams.

Removed Facebook from my phone. Still have messenger, threads, and Instagram for now. (The latter two may go soon enough)

Honestly, I’m just tired of being right all the time about Doug Ford.
Everyone can see the grift, except apparently Ontario voters 😡

NEW: CycleToronto and other citizens have launched a Charter challenge of the Ford government's law to remove bike lanes. CT's executive director is not present at the Queen's Park announcement because... he was doored on Monday in a painted bike lane and is hospitalized.

I realize I'm shouting into the aether, but it's really frustrating that I still can't download geo-restricted apps on Google Play, despite all my settings saying I'm in Canada (and yes, I've reset my cache etc)

My dad can barely walk a block but can ride his bike for miles. Bikes have given him so much freedom and he is invested in getting more protected bike lanes built as a result. Let’s also not forget that a good percentage of people can’t drive bc of a disability. Yet this is the pervasive meme.
Bike lanes can be ableist and ageist. Let’s keep the dialog open to all.

It's been so long since I used that other site that I'm not sure how I'll use this... But I'm appreciative for what I've seen so far, settings wise
