No, I’m sure you have your reasons and they are personal to you. There’s obviously an alternative but it doesn’t suit your requirements. That’s fine, by choosing a product it doesn’t mean you support the owner or the far right. In fact you obviously oppose it….so no judgement from me. See ya. 😉

So knowing what you know about Musk and as he owns Twitter why do you think going back to Twitter in 2025 is a good idea?
May 21, 2025 at 5:57 PM
Ah I see , funny that. It suits you yeah for your own personal reasons eh?
May 21, 2025 at 5:25 PM
I am pretty up on the charging network. So yes you’re right it’s definitely improved over the last two years.
January 26, 2025 at 6:15 PM
Flimsy? Ok I seem to have been doing this all day. I really can’t be bothered. Well done 👏
January 26, 2025 at 5:20 PM
I’ll keep looking. Have a good one.
January 26, 2025 at 5:11 PM
No probs, the EV 9 is a lovely car but it’s quite a bit more expensive (probably not on my company car list) and also it’s got less space in the boot (3 kids), the same with the others. You add to this that I have a high mileage job and you realise how good the Tesla network is. It’s horrible.
January 26, 2025 at 5:05 PM
So for me I need the space, I need the range and I need the charging network. I have also done lots of research and the Y just stands alone.
January 26, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Nice one, I have seen this. I do like BYD and in fairness the nearest I can find to the Y is the EV9 but again it’s boot space & network. Aside from the fact it is a lot more expensive. I even looked at the VW van but the range isn’t there and for work I need that. It’s a nightmare really.
January 26, 2025 at 4:50 PM
Really , have I? I’m not saying I’m happy about it but practically for my family and for work it’s the best option. I get the moral outrage, I feel the same but I have done the research and with all respect …you haven’t.
January 26, 2025 at 4:46 PM
So basically you’ve waded in knowing nothing about the subject and nothing about me. Well done 👏
January 26, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Tell me one with more boot space in that price range? Then let’s compare charging networks? Then range. I’m happy to listen as you seem to be in the know?
January 26, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Cheers Tony, it is nice to have a proper conversation. I assure you I am not an ‘arse’ …I don’t think. The EV9 was an option but it’s a lot more expensive and ridiculously again doesn’t quite have the space of the Y. Anyway have a good one
January 26, 2025 at 2:02 PM
Yeah as I said before I have a large youngish family so space is important. Regarding CCS unfortunately Tesla have not opened up their whole network as yet. The UK infrastructure for charging is OK though and getting better but the Tesla network gives piece of mind when doing the mileage I do.
January 26, 2025 at 1:43 PM
How is boot space subjective? It’s either bigger or not. Tesla charging stations are not all open to other cars now. And finally I didn’t say he needed educating about his/ your opinion we probably agree. However when it comes to EVs and charging networks I am not a novice.
January 26, 2025 at 1:25 PM
In the same way don’t assume all Tesla drivers are a certain way. As I said tell me an alternative that has the network, range, boot space in that price range and I’ll listen? I suggest I’ve done more research than you.
January 26, 2025 at 1:04 PM
Let me know one that compares, price , range, charging network and most importantly boot space. I am looking. Perhaps Reece needs educating rather than just tarring everyone with the same brush?
January 26, 2025 at 1:00 PM
It’s my choice.
January 26, 2025 at 9:15 AM
See my reply
January 26, 2025 at 9:09 AM
See my reply. It’s not a nice choice
January 26, 2025 at 9:09 AM
Unmatched on the market for its price range. I’ve driven all over including family holidays to France and I couldn’t do that in a lot of E vehicles. There are other little things but they are the main reasons. It’s a horrible decision and one I am agonising over but practically it’s the top choice.

January 26, 2025 at 9:08 AM
Secondly I cover a lot of miles for work and although it’s massively improved the Tesla charger network is still very convenient and quick, this alongside the range of the Tesla just works. 3rd and probably the most annoying this is that I have a large family and the boot space in the Tesla Y is….
January 26, 2025 at 9:04 AM
Do you want me to run through it? Firstly it’s a company car so the tax on electric vehicles is minimal, alongside the green credentials it’s why a lot of people choose them. I’m going to stick my neck out and say it’s tax first though. So I want to choose Electric …
January 26, 2025 at 9:01 AM
When I see actors casting aspersions on ordinary people I think the same. You’re a good one Reece but you’re wide of the mark here. I have had one for 3 years and the landscape has very much changed, I need to renew this year and the horrible fact is that Tesla is still a very practical choice.
