Agreed! Also, apparently there's a variant made with rabbit and crayfish, and I'd definitely be down for that too, though I admit the busywork of having to shell the crayfish would make it annoying. XD

47. The Predator (Animorphs #5) (1996)
Good stuff! Nice to finally get inside Marco's head and learn more about him, his family and motivations, with a great twist at the end. And Ramón de Ocampo did a good job narrating it!

46. Christine (1983)
I dug it, solid King book with a good story, and some great moments, characters and concepts. Not one of my faves of his, I admit, and there are some moments of eyebrow-raising sexism that I'm glad Steve mostly seems to have moved past (and fatphobia he sadly still hasn't).

45. Fur Will Fly (2000-2007)
Loved it! A very fun, funny read with some very cute/sweet moments, even if it occasionally delved into iffy/outdated tropes. I'd love to read the spinoff comic, Coming Up Violet, but it seems like it's almost entirely lost media, or at least hard as hell to find.

YEAH, and like, each one is super-dark, and most have an illustration that's one degree or another of nightmare fuel. I love the sketchy look they have.

JEEESUS. I'll definitely have to track this one down, for sure.
Did you ever hear about the Scary Stories to Tell at Sleep-overs books? Cuz I read the first one in 5th grade and it absolutely gave me nightmares, and had a similar caliber of terrifying illustrations.

44. The Dead Zone (1983)
Rewatch, still love it! A great adaptation and a great movie in general, and sadly certain parts continue to be prescient in the real world.

Absolutely EXCELLENT, I love the story, the characters, the concepts and worldbuilding, all of it! And Peter Larkin's reading of it was also fantastic. My favorite character is probably Blueshell.

This movie is fucking WILD, I love it. Definitely check it out, but do so with as little info about it as possible before you do, aside from content warnings if you need them.

Went to a local B&N yesterday and was VERY happy to see the people running it have enough good taste to put @bitterkarella.bsky.social's Moonflow on open display in the horror section!

Made spaghetti with meat sauce for the first time in forever tonight! The premade sauce I mixed with the hamburger was a mix of vodka sauce and arrabbiata sauce, and it came out GOOOOD.
