A second airdrop mission was conducted yesterday by A400M 54+42. I originally missed it, but I’m including it now for completeness. While the aircraft is stationed at Al-Azraq Airbase, home to a German military presence, it operated out of Kaab Airbase for this mission.

This morning, A400M 54+39 conducted the first German aid drop over Gaza. The aircraft departed from Al-Azraq Airbase and briefly stopped at Kaab Airbase en route. Notably, ADS-B data confirms a flight path directly over Gaza — a rare visibility for such missions.

The German A400M (54+21), which arrived in Jordan yesterday, is now returning to Germany. This could either be a regular supply/troop rotation mission for the German contingent permanently stationed in Jordan, or a supply mission in direct support of the upcoming airdrop operation.

The second A400M, 54+39, which arrived yesterday, made a stop at Jordan’s Kaab Air Base before returning. This flight may have been conducted to pick up supplies for upcoming airdrop missions. However, ADS-B data shows no indication that any airdrop missions over Gaza were carried out today.

Another German A400M — aircraft 54+21, known for its Air Defender livery — appears to be en route to Jordan. It may be the third aircraft supporting airdrop missions over Gaza, or it could be a routine resupply flight to the Bundeswehr bases in Jordan or Iraq.

Both German Air Force A400M aircraft have arrived in Al-Azraq, where the German Armed Forces operate a base for counter-terrorism missions. From there, they will be deploying aid to Gaza.

Crashed Bundeswehr helicopter was D-HCDL. A private leased helicopter for training. ADSB shows D-HCDL leaving Holzdorf airbase and later near to the crash site.

The second aircraft is possibly A400M 53+39, which made the same stop as the first A400M but is still in Ingolstadt. Both planes were at exactly the same location. The flight direction and identical stop suggest that 53+39 is the second A400M.

A German Eurofighter from Nörvenich may have been scanning the area of the Bundeswehr helicopter crash near Leipzig. The jet was without signal for about half an hour while flying towards the crash site near Grimma and returning from it.
