I am not American, so my observations on its politics will be limited and often wrong. Apologies. 33 year old male. Have a good day.
Bold words coming from an "AE", which is simply "Ea" in a mirror.

An ebook that deletes the final chapter when you reach the halfway point.

True, people keep mistaking mass with weight!

You just made me realise that in a way LLMs are a way for us to simulate communicating with an alien who masters English but has none of the basic assumptions we have. As you said, they have no idea what death is. They can describe it, quite eloquently, but they do not have death anxiety.

Later JoJo is, of course, a sojourn.

Since both Nuzzi and Lizza are 5 letters long, they might as well appear in Wordle!

I wonder if this grows from video game piracy. Among video gamers, the "pirate every game" mindset has become at the very least morally justified due to horrible anti-consumer decisions by gaming companies. Maybe from there the zeal grows uncontrollably to 'pirate everything'?

honestly, truthfully, viscerally jealous of your library situation

Question: how widespread are good public libraries in the US? My experience is that when I lived in Indonesia the public libraries doesn't really allow any of that. Thank you.

What do you think of Fukuyama's other works? Are they worth reading?

My assumption on spaceships somehow rely on them being a product of peacetime, and their travel (at least started with) in relatively peaceful age, and it seems your plot is either still during some war or a very new peace? In any case, thank you for answering!

This answer makes me realise my only conception of what an 'author' is is still stuck on 'one person making novels, rarely very rich'. Thank you for broadening my horizons.
November 26, 2025 at 7:16 AM
That's true! I heard of 'trust fund kid' and I just imagined it's for, like, Richie Rich-level millionaire kid, not normal authors. Thanks for the answer.
November 26, 2025 at 7:15 AM
Sorry if I sound stupid, but it just never crossed my mind that normal individuals can also have trusts. Turns out my only conception of a trust is only for inheritance stuff like the National Trust!
November 26, 2025 at 7:13 AM
Wow! Is there like worldbuilding attached to this, or are the designs mostly it?

(I'm not implying a design without worldbuilding is worthless, of course)

"No, I like the plot and the historical accuracy, I'm just saying the soundtrack for Season 3 being 80% Marina Diamandis songs may be a bit...unfit?"

The Judge: "Six months in Camp Gylippus."
November 26, 2025 at 5:46 AM
Wait, wait wait, genuine question: a trust? Like, a separate legal entity that manages money? Some authors have those?
November 26, 2025 at 5:32 AM
Wait, did you draw these yourself?
November 26, 2025 at 5:30 AM
Holy shit

I just asked it to rewrite and translate and it did that. decently, too! And without internet! Whoa

damn i got (at the very least) a rewording/translating program that's completely offline here! I never knew LLMs can work in this weak laptop of mine. Thanks, Mr. Paulauski!

Probably the only thing I dislike about TLJ is that Finn and Rey, the pair I loved the most in the seventh movie, spends very little time together.
November 24, 2025 at 7:42 PM
Wait, really? Less than 4GB? I thought LLMs are like hundreds of gigabytes at least, since ChatGPT was like ~400GB last time I checked. It had really improved that much?

Genuine question: with the powers Trump have right now, what kind of punishment will stick? Would disbarring the lawyers involved here stop Trump getting more lawyers to do his bidding in the future?

Poor old Henry was just trying this new "Symeon dees nuts" joke he invented for his friend the Oxford dean, but sadly it all went wrong.

I was so close to being unaffected by this! I just watched a YouTube video on right wing wellness gurus and the video uses copious clips of RFK speaking, and his tone of voice is now implanted in my brain. Now my brain, the best computer there is, hurts itself.
