Finally carved the pumpkins with my kids! They'd picked out the pumpkins themselves and drew the faces and helped with cleaning them out, and the 9 yo helped a little with cutting on his (the smaller one), while the 7 yo was very enthusiastic about flinging pumpkin guts.
