Breaking news: the US and China will start trade talks later this week in Switzerland. It's just talks, not a big deal, says US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. Sounds like Washington is downgrading expectations, to me. Watch my quick take here: substack.com/@dexter/note...

The Arabic-speaking world, like pretty much everywhere, seems very interested in the U.S.-China trade and tariff standoff. Today with Egypt’s Al-Qahera News and last month with Saudi Arabia’s Asharq Business.
