My grandmother would have been 101 today. She came to 🇺🇸 in 1932 from present day 🇸🇰 - her unconditional love was the safe harbor that allowed me to sail. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Rest in Power Jimmy Carter - as a youngster interested in politics (I became a social studies teacher), he was an inspiration and an incredible juxtaposition to the person who followed him…President Carter taught me to see government as us not something to fear. ❤️

As a dad/lifelong public educator, there is not a day that goes by when he and the students I serve are in school where the horror that occurred in WI does not cross my mind…the frequency of carnage directed at our youth/educators has made me angry, not numb @momsdemand.bsky.social

My son just gave me our top ten (we share an Apple Music account) most listened to artists of the year: Boy with Uke, NF, Connor Price, Sigur Ros, Imagine Dragons, Frightened Rabbit, The Replacements, One Republic, Metallica, New Order. What a gift to share a love of music with my guy:)

Thank You Pam…I’ve always admired your work:) I believe it is our obligation as people who have committed our lives to public education to not only speak truth to power, but to build our own community to support each other…we are all human and need each other, now more than ever.

As a public educator of 33 years and a current superintendent, those of us in positions of privilege to advocate for our kids/families must do so…silence is simply not an option. I’ll be putting a superintendent starter pack together soon:)
