there are plenty of distros out there that are good for beginners. Also, there are a ton of great educational videos coming out right now teaching about how to switch to Linux step by step.

Doing some basic Wikipedia research, this "feature" is BD-Live. It allows online content to be viewed from the disc as far as I can tell. Like games, trailers, etc. But I guess it's used now to collect your viewing data since god forbid companies can't collect their sweet sweet analytics 24/7

Frieren is paced very well. You really feel the time passing as you watch it. I think that was the intention given the themes of the story.
