Oregon continues to lead - a busy few days:
- OR reloads SNAP cards despite not having enough to cover if the Feds don't send $
- OR Gov Tina Kotek moves $1 million to Tribal Food Bank System & $5 million to OR Food Bank
- OR reminds SNAP recipients the money will remain on their debit cards

A totalitarian/fascism reminder:
If you follow the leader’s orders and it doesn’t work, it will never be his fault - you will always be blamed and bear the consequences of his wrath.

(The only confusing part: why do humans refuse, over and over gain, to learn from history?)

Oregon continues to step up and lead:

Three 10 year old boys just left, very happy with their pretzel bags and one said, “I love the houses that give us snacks instead of candy.”

True.
Especially as Jesus explicitly said that we will be judged solely on how we treat others because our heart will be revealed by our actions and attitudes.

(See the parables and teachings about the Sheep & Goats and the fruit of our lives).
Outside these indicators, only God truly knows a heart

Friday Fun:
There’s not a lot of great things about growing older, but one is watching fashions return and claim to be brand new - and poking the bear by telling young people it’s just a repeat fashion of something they have mocked.

Remember, if you call it a Belt Bag, then it’s not a fanny pack!😂

Looks like the winter weather returned to Portland and the rest of Western Oregon and Washington.
I hope ICE loves rain as much as the protestors outside with webbed feet.
It seems to me winter will be the least fun for agents who are brought into cities. The locals will fare better weather-wise...

More creative protests from Oregon. This time from the deep red rural counties who's representative refuses to meet with them:

This seems like a stupid question, but why isn’t the White House protected as a Historical Home?

Thank you for bringing so many people so much joy and hope. 🐸

When we look at our ballot and ask ourselves, “Who should govern this country?”, maybe the better question is: “Who will try to govern this country?”

I braved war-torn Portland…despite these koi randomly appearing at my feet…to purchase 3📚 at Powell’s & 3📚 at UpUp.
After all, Portland is really a bookstore with a city around it.
(This is my fav protest sign of the last couple weeks)
A shoutout also to all the Indy bookstores in Portland! 📚📖

Even the local Fox News couldn’t find anything more nefarious in today’s protest than the newly minted Banana Band.
But they weren’t allowed to post photos from the Emergency Naked Bike Ride which just joined the protest due to revealing content. 😂

If you are enjoying Portland's efforts to expose the lies that it is war-ridden, you can follow them here now.
Every day, more inflatables are joining. Last night: threatening bubbles as well.
October 11, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Last night Portland added another dangerous element: bubbles.

Once again, a huge shout out to Portland for holding the line and making the lies about violence obvious.
A few more creature have joined the menagerie this week…

So true!
I love the creativity of Oregon.

I ❤️ Powell’s.
