The 1918 flu was a pandemic. Currently flu is seasonal - for now. These things are not the same.

Not trying to be condescending, just trying to remind people that saying “during COVID” to mean “during the time we tried to protect people from COVID” is misleading and wrong.

Australian Influenza update:

It became clear during November that a unusual second wave of influenza is underway in Australia, driven by the new "clade K" (H3N2 clade 2a.3a.1, subclade K).

Tasmania, New South Wales and South Australia are currently the hardest-hit.
