This kind of thing blows my mind, but here's something I wonder about: does this have anything to do with how much people love RPGs?
As a 1 (or 2) it was weird to learn a few years ago that 5s exist. But our world is weird. Bizarre things happen. In my experience, 5s and 4s learning that 1s and 2s exist absolutely flips their world upside fucking down. Including my partner (5) who says stuff like “I know the concept of an apple.”
