It's been almost 9 months since the first set of illegal firings began happening across the federal government.

More than 200K

How much money did that save the federal government? $0
How much will their critical service cost the American public? Billions

Meanwhile...

The administration has 100% taken the country hostage with contingency funds that were already set aside and approved.

They would rather starve millions vs moving the needle forward.

Cruelty is always their game.

Received a nice little surprise award in our public health dept staff meeting.

This award felt more meaningful than any of my meritorious performance award as it was a heartfelt thank you from my colleagues.

It took every little bit of energy I could muster to not ugly cry while accepting it.

Of all the people, Rubio knows DAMN well that the United States is the LARGEST contributor to the Global Fund, which provides lifesaving treatment for AIDS, TB, and Malaria.

Every year we have contributed BILLIONS in helping countries get these treatments.

20 years ago I would never think that it was acceptable for men to get their nails done

Even after coming out, there was the extremely toxic gay dating culture of “no femme, no Asians, no Blacks, no fat” mentality

Today I said “fuck it” and went to get a manicure and select my nail polish

Regardless of ACIP’s decision this week (this is one component of the vaccines availability) AHIP has noted that health plans will continue to cover all recommended immunizations as of Sept 1 2025.

So the answer I have for you now is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but so far there is no hissing and both have no issue with each others “presence” but it’ll be a gradual integration like I did with Bucket and Mako. Just bc a cat is super sweet around you does not immediately mean they’ll be the same with other cats!

Several of you asked how bucket was handling the new kitten. As a rule of thumb, I don’t just flat out introduce them to each other as that can likely cause huge stress/anxiety for both. Right now they play with each other thru the door and doing scent exchanges. Supervised play comes later.

This year has been so rough in this house with losing mako and my job.

But I’ve since been back to work and also got to welcome this beautiful little one in my life. Everyone. Please say hi to Pebble.

Folks. What have I been saying since the beginning.

This advisory panel is responsible for making the recommendations on what cancer screenings and preventative measures must be covered by insurance.

This. Will. Impact. Everyone.
