Stupendous. Great performances all round, looks amazing, fabulous soundtrack, endlessly quotable, and Robbie Coltrane as an airfield operator. Camp as tits. What’s not to love? Well, maybe not the pervy father-daughter bdsm or Flash’s leather budgie smugglers. Check the angular vector of the moon!

Definitely, plus I think Brett was not well (he wanted to remake it). I think a good Hound adaptation has to be on the edge of reality, as though the story could turn at any moment. I suspect Hawkesworth would have done a far better job on the script too.
