Not once did the presented correct that it is NOT foreign nationals but foreign-BORN.

Many of these people are British citizens, e.g. Boris Johnson, born in the US.

And if households with foreign-born people are to be excluded, that would include people like Nigel Farage, who has a German wife.
This really is not getting the attention it should. The Tories' latest proposal is to exclude *any household that includes any foreign national from any benefit*.

And when asked about it, they keep citing small boat crossings - a minute fraction of migration - to justify it. ~AA

We have seen signals which indicate lack of support for adults growing in the last few years. Not everyone needs medication but everyone should have support.
This is where we are. When a charity that receives no government funding, ADHD UK, has to take an NHS Trust to court because it stopped all referrals for over 25s.

Of the 3 million with ADHD in the UK, 75% are adults. Many have nowhere to go for help.

"The media reporting of the "millionaire exodus" was primarily based on a report published by Henley & Partners, a firm that sells golden passports to the super rich... the 9500 millionaires widely reported to be leaving the UK in 2024 represented 0.3% of the UK’s 3.06 million millionaires"
#r4today
The “millionaire exodus” reported around the world did not happen. Our new investigation reveals that the “droves” of millionaires that the media reported are leaving countries represented near-0% of all millionaires.

Super useful from @lukesibieta.bsky.social on school funding choices.

Protecting the total core schools budget means real-terms spending per pupil will rise by around 3%.

We don't know anything on colleges yet - reminder that real-terms per-pupil protection there needs an extra £300m in today's £.
What does £4.5 billion extra for schools in England mean?

My guess is that this is a real-terms freeze in the core schools budget plus some extra money for free school meals

This thread explains why 🧵[1/6]
