You might wonder what attraction opposition holds if it doesn't even require fair rules. Kirshner contends that it allows for the exercise of collective agency, which has independent worth. Being allowed to organize a party to compete for power is miles better than not being allowed to.

Although this is at Master's level, our undergraduate compulsory methods offer is somewhat hidden in a module on disinformation and bias.

Yes, I've been teaching it for 11 years. Called Applied Research Design and explicitly not stats/methods, which are optionals. Actually a super fun module to teach.

It really reminds me of the Miliband era, when partisans would cheerily say 'you know, David Cameron is not that popular' and it's like, yes, on his best days he scrapes into net positive territory with some pollsters. Have you seen your guy's numbers, lads?
