The new "Planet Health 2025 Report" is out (www.planetaryhealthcheck.org). Only two out of seven indicators are in the green area, showing a positive development: stratospheric ozone depletion (ozone recovery) and atmospheric aerosols (clean-air policies).

Here is a visualisation of the record high global temperature in 2024 since 1850. Each stripe is one year and blue and red colors mean temperatures below and above the 1961-2010 average, respectively. The very dark red stripe at the right end is 2024.

Six different temperature records concur that 2024 was a record year, with a temperature 1.55 °C above the average for the 1850-1900 period.
