I could not be prouder of my @pdxseminary student Austin Day, who defended his thesis about the Latter Rain Movement today with Dr. Dara Delgado as 2nd reader - Austin is one to watch in Pentecostal and charismatic studies!

Thanks to @oxunipress for inviting me to talk about God Gave Rock & Roll to You: a History of Contemporary Christian Music. Relient K came up, as did DC Talk, and of course Carman. Theo Calderara, editor extraordinaire - who saw the project through from start to finish - introduced the book!
The first public talk I gave about CCM was at Baylor in 2022 (thanks, Devan Stahl!), and it was such a wonderful full circle moment to talk with such smart people about the book after it's been out in the world.
