Associate Professor ➡️ Chief Science Officer of the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation in Dec 2024 to follow my passion of bringing rare genetic communities the best research and care by partnering with industry, physicians/clinicians, and scientists.
Taking advantage of my Adjunct Professor role to attend Dr. Sara Kornfeld-Sylla’s (neé Simpson) seminar today based on the ongoing collaboration between several FXS labs! So glad my K23 EEG data gets to be used as part of this amazing work!

Couldn’t pass up a hike and time with fellow rare-disease advocate while in Arizona for #ACNP2024! Fat Man’s Pass via Mormon Trail did not disappoint! Loved my day moving my body and exploring yesterday but ready for science today 🤓 #ACNPTravelAwardee
