Thank you. A necessary weekend in bed. I have my cat, Katsu, under the covers - she’s warming my feet. Every so often she comes out from under the duvet- think she must get really hot.
One of my lovely neighbours is making lunch & my son will be back down from Edinburgh later- so a lovely day. 😊

Watching @channel4news.bsky.social I thought I was listening to a Reform politician-no, it was Labour’s Jonathan Hinder. Constantly talking about deterrents to migration & interrupting/talking over @greenparty.org.uk @carladenyer.bsky.social
He didn’t listen to anything Carla was suggesting.

My Siamese, Katsu, stretches out really long too! 😊

@nclgreenparty.bsky.social Just became a member of @greenparty.org.uk & I am based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Thought I’d say Hello 👋 😊

I’ve just become a member of The Green Party, after listening to @zackpolanski.bsky.social
I was a member of Labour Party, but feel more aligned to Green Party policies, esp re our #NHS, disability benefits/Public Services/tax on extremely wealthy/EU/on COVID & #CleanAir /environment, Gaza/refugees

Every night my cat, Katsu, miaows & encourages me up to bed. If I don’t head up, she leaves the room….. and then returns after a bit to try again.
I feel like I’m being ‘naughty’ if I don’t go- so always follow her by her 3rd try!!

Up in Northumberland last week, rudbeckia from the garden- made me feel ‘autumnal’ & brought me joy. 🙂

Crumbs- just finished watching Ep9 of #ChiefOfWar

Really enjoyed the series.

A very tense, brutal & graphic last episode-
I held my breathe for much of it…… I’m not squeamish-
but a couple of things made me exclaim ‘Blimey yuk!’
Certainly not for the fainthearted.

Oh, I feel sad- Robert Redford has died. He was such a beautiful man- and was one of my mum’s favourite pin ups (I rather liked him too ☺️)

I listened to this excellent talk yesterday by Ilan Pappe & Avi Shlaim -available online until end of #EdinburghBookFestival -my son is working at the festival & recommended the talk.
I feel I have a more informed grasp of the origins & history of the shameful #genocide in Gaza.

Happy Sunday Kitty.
Thank goodness for you.
Wonderful time in Edinburgh 2 w ago, but I’m suffering such PEM following trip for son’s graduation- so mostly been in bed & had to cancel seeing friends. Also big meetings in coming weeks re my divorce-also hugely exhausting.
So grateful for your posts🙂

Arrived in Edinburgh yesterday to stay by The Meadows- sky less blue this morning. It’s my son Harry’s graduation today.
He’s looking for a Part 1 Architecture Assistant post- if anyone is looking for a new graduate! 🙂

Harry setting up the travel backgammon set which I gave him for his recent 22nd birthday. I’ve not played for decades & he’s never played.
Really fun close first game,
Harry won 🏆 😊

Totally agree. I’ve lived in the NE for 30 years- a wonderful place to call home.
These are my lovely poppies at my Northumberland coastal cottage (probably selling this year tho) & my front garden in Newcastle.
