There's definitely the rabid, far right folks who are too far gone, but there's also plenty of people who, unfortunately, are closer to the center than you'd think, and more willing to come back if the Liberals continue to move back towards a centrist position.

It's a centrist approach that takes some of the legs out of PP's incessant whinging, and hopefully will keep a few more of the saner conservatives from voting in the same sort of populist bullshit the US is currently dealing with. Anything is better than PP.

Indeed; when my phone rings, I assume it's spam unless I recognize the name/number. So it goes to voice mail, because if it's anything important I figure they can leave a message, or get hold of me via any of the numerous other communication methods developed since the 1800s.
