Last KP burn post. The view shed is now vast. This is the largest intact native grassland east of the Mississippi River. I am humbled and honored to be able to help manage it.

Third KP burn post. This was a 5500 acre habitat burn. Lowest relative humidity I ever burned under and hammocks were torching out.

Second KP burn post. I enjoyed time with Matt Vance, land manager at TNC’s Disney Wilderness Preserve.

First post from 5500 acre prescribed fire at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park on Friday. It was spicy, but we were burning next to recently burned country and all held nicely.

Liar, Liar, Ego on Fire

Without the truth, arguments are weak.
So why the lies whenever Trump speaks?
Stupid? Misinformed? Flooding the zone?
Nope. Lies are a narcissist’s cornerstone.

Longleaf pine pollen-producing cones, sometimes called male cones. One photo shows beginning of the candle in recognizable form.

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last.

Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.

I am so glad for these new ANT guys! In the past couple days they processed longleaf seed from cone to bag. We distributed the cones, some seed remaining, over about 30 acres at lake Louisa SP. we have at least 5 lb of seed and will also save some for Colt Creek SP. reforestation is on the way!

This is how you say “go fuck yourself sideways with a porcupine” in inspector general speak.

Going to be interesting to see how the administration responds

Welaka has a family restauraurant—Shrimp R Us, fantastic! My sides of mashed potatoes/gravy and collard greens were fresh/yummy. The fried chicken lunch special was impressive. Others had a tuna salad on rye that was a generous portion. The menu has a lot to offer so I will be returning!

Airstream plumbing repair. Leaky, substandard shark bite fitting replaced with good Pex joints and metal hardware.

We really enjoyed the meal we had here after picking up a salvage window for a project. Live one man band was really talented and while it was too loud, it was good stuff.
