Cold winds in Kent too. The sun is very welcome, and can’t wait for a bit of warmth too! ☀️

One of my favourites. A lawn in my village is full of them! And they let them bloom. Just pure joy! ☺️

If you’re in Kent, please get in touch. You’re more than welcome for a brew and a stroll and to share the excitement with you. ☺️

It will be interesting to see what emerges this year. For sure we have Oxeye daisies - they’re everywhere. We have feathery froth too, so hoping they’re young wild carrot for next year. We cut the meadow, I think for the last time, two weeks ago. Now we Watch and wait with much excitement! ☺️

We have an old lawnmower and we cut the meadow using the mower in September. We keep the grass box off so the seeds blow everywhere. We then use a sit on mower to collect the debris. The mower scalps the area, but we don’t scarify. Millions of seeds are released, so what makes it, makes it.

Is there anything we can do to help provide nesting habitats for bumble bees?

Funny, I was just going to ask you if your yellow rattle is coming through. And sure enough, having looked through your posts, you beat me to it!
