According to an email obtained by The Narwhal, MAGA Energy’s revenues had dropped and the company was in “survival mode” when Alberta allowed it to acquire 170 oil wells. Now, the company isn’t paying its bills to landowners and owes taxes to at least one municipality. thenarwhal.ca/maga-energy-...

As we're still grappling with recent changes to municipal elections underway TODAY, the Alberta government announced changes to the NEXT elections.

They are to include a provision that "only those who truly care and are serious about representing a community or riding are allowed on the ballot."
Braid: UCP will decide who can run for office next time; only the "serious" allowed
UCP plans new rules to limit who can run in provincial and civic elections. There's a bill coming soon.

Last night, @davidmoscrop.com told a crowd his work made him grind his teeth to nub/lamented the cost of mouth guards. I could only laugh, thinking about my own guard. Today, two colleagues asked about coverage for mouth guards. At least dentists are benefitting from the collapse of civilization.
