Top 2 at my Hunted Draft RTN today at Game Kastle College Park! 2-1 Arakni -> 2-1 Arakni -> 2-0 Cindra in Top 8. Happy to qualify for another event and excited to play High Seas US Nationals in Vegas in June after Pro Tour London.

Really enjoyed playing 1000xResist, a narrative-heavy sci-fi game with a complex narrative and structure that really came together for me by the end. Challenging game to talk about without spoiling, but if you're open to unique narrative experiences with less focus on gameplay, I recommend.

Orb (Netflix) is my favorite show of the season and is about pursuing the discovery of heliocentrism despite persecution. The show isn't a historically accurate drama but more interested in finding meaning in life and the pursuit of something greater. Really excited to see where this goes.

Magilumiere (Amazon Prime) is a fun, optimistic story of a magical girl start-up trying t do things the right way in a world where the business of magical girls is corporate and focused more on metrics and results. I like this sort of upbeat workplace story and will read the manga after the season.

Negative Positive Angler (Crunchyroll) is an anime original found family story about fishing with a main character with not long to live struggling to find much reason to live to begin with. I've really loved the charming cast and am curious to see how it finishes out. Pretty dark at times.

Demon Lord 2099 (Crunchyroll) is a fun take on the isekai genre in a way that is reminiscent of The Devil is a Part Timer with a bit more of an action/plot focus. Mixes comedy with more serious episodes with some pretty fun fight scenes. Worth a shot if you enjoy that sort of show.

Since we're a little over halfway through the Fall 2024 Anime season, I wanted to recommend a few shows I'm enjoying that I haven't seen a ton of discussion about. #anisky
