If they press ahead with this it is our civic duty to make sure every agent of the state trying to inflict it has as terrible a time as possible.

a word that literally just means "people who aren't transgender" isn't allowed to be used - because bigots said so - and so everyone from EHRC to BBC are coming up with weird expressions to say "people who aren't transgender".

It's so pathetic. what a weak country of cowards.

The home secretary is fucking disgusting there is no ‘seamless” way of inflicting the violence of deporting children to a country they’ve never been to

this quote is very funny to me given that my experience with the NHS this week horrified my *American* partner.

It's basically impossible to get anything at all from them in a decent timescale. 'Free at the point of use'. Fuck off. If I want any medical treatment I have to pay out of pocket anyway.
The GPs in question also come across as *real* pieces of shit. Like Labour MP levels of pieces of shit.

Streeting’s yapping is on the same level a health minister being anti-vax. The fact that it isn’t widely recognised as such is just because MH isn’t taken seriously.
I've been having MH discourse for decades now and understanding and treatments have changed a lot, but politicians have always tried to derail progress and the resources have never been allocated appropriately because they don't think it's real and they don't care

Deporting anyone is horrific violence, but there's something so disgusting about deporting people born here just because they don't have the right piece of paper

Everyone involved in this is a ghoul

Horrific and disgusting. British citizens - this is being done in your name, especially those of you who continue to defend the horrors being proposed and perpetuated by Labour.

When will it be enough for you all?

Impeccable vibes to look at the news every day and see a piece about how the country's getting worse, often through deliberate government action, next to a piece saying that if you're feeling mentally ill about it, no you're not.

Its not hard to find GPs who are deeply conservative and do not believe their patients' lived experience. Equally its not difficult to find gross BBC hacks willing to launder stupid shit the government says.
The fact that many GPs don't believe people with mental health conditions will not be news to those of us with mental health conditions who have had to deal with these cunts.

Kudos on the BBC for continuing to manufacture consent to take away our rights and healthcare though.

Interesting thing to take away here.

BBC asked 5000 doctors to take part in a survey about overdiagnosis of mental health conditions. Only 15% of them responded.

And what do you think the belief will be of that 15% who specifically wanted to respond to a study into overdiagnosis? 🤔

The BBC will push this bullshit to tens of millions of unsuspecting and trusting people this weekend.

This is what makes them so much more dangerous than GB News, The Telegraph, the Sun and the Mail combined.
Why is the fucking AWFUL #BBC sending GPs questionnaires about mh? They sent out 5,000 questionnaires to 40,000 GPs with no targeting at all, received 752 responses, and then write a hit piece with the headline:

I genuinely think a lot of people treat it as being graded on a curve, in a sense. Like, help should only go to a consistent percentage of the least abled people, whatever happens.
there is no natural golden ratio of abled to disabled ppl, and no upper cap on what percentage of population can be disabled. if you sicken and injure enough ppl, and destroy accessibility of public life in a hostile and unsupported society so a wider and wider range are excluded, the skys the limit

people are so shocked that eugenics was, and still is, normalised because of the normalisation of the assumption that what is normal must be Good

eugenics is Bad so it must only be associated with the abnormal Other

it's fractal

and it hurts
1. Historically, eugenics was not a pseudoscience. It was *science* Almost every scientist, social scientist, academic, etc. believed in the validity of eugenics. You would have to search far & wide to find a scientist that didn't believe in some form of it. They taught it in college!

Imagine if it was indisputably shown that a larger and larger number of people met the previously established criteria for mental health problems requiring care & time off work. Surely the only possible response would be to change the diagnostic criteria so most of them didn't count as sick anymore?

The TLDR of the Streeting review is your quality of life doesn't matter so long as you are contributing to the economy and employment stats - which will exacerbate most MH conditions and increase suicide rates, which they don't care about either because the economy, stupid.

yeah as someone with a personality disorder, i really hate how ppl treat pd's as if they scientifically prove someone is evil or whatever. someone can have a shitty personality without having a disorder and ppl with a pd are not inherently bad ppl.
I really don’t like how people are diagnosing these fascists with personality disorders instead of acknowledging that this is the type of personality that psychology never bothered to pathologize because it neatly fits into our society and upholds the status quo
What sticks out to me is how absolutely unafraid of prosecution this psychopath is. Part of it is narcissistic personality disorder, but it's mostly the perceived weakness of Democrats. Should they retake power, no one expects Democrats to hold anyone accountable.
