I was just coming to write this. And there’s plenty of space to make that bike lane better and extend it north of treat on N. Main St.

Crissy Field for a Golden Gate Bridge photo, but if you only have a day, I recommend avoiding the time-consuming trek up to the bridge itself. You might enjoy a walk along the Embarcadero by the Ferry Building, or I’d recommend you just pick a neighborhood, which is where all the real action is.

As highlighted in our Transit Saves campaign, if it weren’t for BART, we’d have to plant a forest the size of San Francisco every 2 years to offset the CO2 that would be generated from increased vehicle emissions. The people of the Bay Area need BART. So do the plants and animals that reside here.

Even a 90% cut in service (9pm closure, one-hour frequencies, and running only three of the five BART lines) would close less than half of the FY27 $376 million deficit.

For example, when BART closed at 9pm and reduced frequencies during the height of the pandemic, it represented a 40% cut in service, but it only reduced operating costs by 12%.
