Sounds like it... honestly I hope the case doesn't get thrown out based on this alone because it would be very easy for MAGA to spin it as a technicality and simply throw Halligan under the bus. It should be thrown out because of the vindictive prosecution argument.

Guys watch the entire clip. Ben's not backtracking here, or feigning surprise that Trump would go to such lengths. It's actually worse than you thought. He's DOUBLING DOWN.

He's not even saying that, he's trying to blame the media coverage for making Trump's immigration policy sound bad when it should be popular! He is in no way distancing himself from Trump here or expressing regret of any kind lol

The past tense in the quote is misleading. When you watch the whole clip, he basically reaffirms that Trump doesn't "mean it literally", and the media is to blame for the negative coverage. I mean he's still lying but he's certainly not pushing back on Trump here

Exactly, he's not conceding anything. He's claiming that he never thought Trump meant it literally and still doesn't. He's making a very uselessly pedantic point that Trump probably can't physically deport every single last illegal immigrant in the US

Once, at a stop light, I realized I needed to get in the other lane pretty soon for my exit. I switched to sport mode and planned to get in front of the car next to me. I was SLAMMED back into my seat, and the other car was comically far behind in a matter of seconds. It was such a shock lol

I learned about Semmelweis from a monologue in the show Midnight Mass. I looked it up, thinking surely Mike Flanagan took a few liberties to give the scene a greater impact... but all true.

Hunting Song is such an incredibly rich tapestry of musical influences ranging from trad folk, blues, jazz, and rock 'n' roll. If I recall correctly, an original song too, rather than an interpretation of a traditional ballad. Simply mind blowing
